Looking for stuff on the web

We are currently revamping our history and Science and doing our own thing. I have printed out the curriculum guidelines for each kids individual grades. From that I am looking for things to teach them so that they stay on task for their grade.

Today I have been looking for worksheets about Saint Patrick. This is for learning about St. Patrick's day. However I don't want my 2nd grader to think that St. Patrick's Day is all about Leprechauns and such. I want her to learn the true meaning about it. I want her to know what kind of man Saint Patrick was. I want her to learn how he used a 3 leaf clover to teach the Trinity. However all I am finding is Leprechauns and four leaf clovers and other things people celebrate St. Patrick's day about. I'm finding everything except what I want. HELP!!!!

Anyway. I am making up six week objectives for each child in History, Science, and Math. This is mostly to help me to make sure they are learning what they need to and how I can help them better. Hunter isn't doing that good in Math right now. However he's a 3rd grader doing a 4th grade math book. I know he is math smart. He loves it but, he's struggling in it right now.

That's my bit for today. I'll leave you with a small picture. It has nothing to do with the post but I like it.

I think Beautiful Feet Books has a book on St. Patrick and maybe even a couple are at Veritas Press. I know there are some good, well written books about the whole reason for St. Patty's day. Also-try homeschool share (homeschoolshare.com) for lapbook ideas if they have it-otherwise, I bet Hands of a Child will have something. HTH and I am sorry to hear your granny is near the end. It is a difficult time for you and your family-I am thinking of you!
Blessings dear!
