Missing You

I have a whole new set of blogs on blogger that I have been using. One is a cooking blog which I was hoping to go pro with. Anther one is a blog about organizing and neat ideas for the family. I wish there was a way to link all four blogs that I have so I can keep track of them better. Unfortunately it isn't.

I also revamped my professional side of me blog. It now includes my website that I have for my photography business. I am excited about that mostly because I want to make a career out of taking photos.

I have really missed writing here. I totally forgot that I even had a blog here because I have been focused on the other blog. So in light of this an update is definitely due.

We have been living in our house for almost three years now. I love my house and all the updates that we have accrued. I am looking forward to the rest of the updates that we have planned for our house. It will definitely make the house more wonderful.

I now have two nieces. My newest niece arrived in March. She is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen. I am very thankful to have such healthy, beautiful nieces.

My oldest baby will be graduating from the 8th grade next Thursday. It is hard to believe that she is old enough to be going to the high school. I am proud of how much she has grown. However, I really wish we could homeschool her again.

We watch a phenomenal movie called IndoctriNation. I was very impressed with this video. It definitely gave us something to think about with our kids going to public school. What scares me the most is the fact that we have been getting letters from their schools the past few years that state that their curriculum is failing. This concerns and worries very strongly. It makes me wonder why we really sent our kids back to school. We have been talking about pulling the kids back out of school to home school them again. A few things concern me about their schools, especially the middle school. One thing is that the kids have seemed to be dumbed down when it comes to learning. Their not being really taught the curriculum, rather than read a few pages from their textbook and expected to do the work on their own. Stealing is a really big issue this year especially. This year Taitem has had a pencil box, a notebook with pockets that she used as a pencil box, and a pair of shoes stolen from her cubby that sits outside the classroom. Hunter just reported to me this morning that someone has stolen his pencil box as well. Communication with the principal is good. However, it seems that it stops there. The children in each grade aren't approached about the items that have been stolen. This isn't happening to just our kids either. Other kids in the school have had things stolen from them as well. Because of these things, we are contemplating the issue of bringing our children back home to be schooled.

Enough of that. I hope you all have a fabulous day!
