I am feeling a bit overwhelmed today. We got our closing date yesterday and I am totally excited about that. We are only paying $5,000 more than what we had initially planned for a house. Which in fact is totally amazing. I can't wait to close and move in. This will be our first house. It is a really nice house which makes me even more excited.
I'm feeling a little sad this morning. I had a dream last night about my grandmother. I was in this talent show and I was waiting for my mom to come up the stairs. Right before she came up my Grammy who passed away in March, came up the stairs first. She looked so beautiful and happy. She was with a friend talking. It was such a weird dream. I see it as her way of showing me that she is around and she's proud and happy for what we are doing and how things are going with the house. When she was alive I called her very often to talk about houses we were going to see or to just talked about stuff. I really miss that about our relationship.
One year ago, my husband was in Alabama waiting the death of his dad. It doesn't seem like it has been that long. Saturday will be a year since his dad died. I believe that it is going to be a tough day for him. I'm going to try to keep him as occupied as I can. He thought about taking the day before off but I don't know if he was able to.
So now what I have to do is clean and pack. I'm not going to do much cleaning but enough so they don't have to hire someone to come in and do it over from us and we can get our deposit back.
Well off to snuggle with my little bit. Have a great day. I know I will.
