Monday

I am hoping that I can get back on here just to talk while we are in the process of buying our house and moving into it. Today's plans are to call the inspection person and schedule that for Saturday. Why you ask? Well because it is the best time for us as well as the people living in the home right now. Also because my inlaws would like to go look at the house with us. We figured that Saturday would be the best day. Hopefully the inspection man can do it then too. If that goes well, we will be closing on the house in 2 weeks. Mostly because we don't need to take out a loan.
Now we are cleaning up and out the apartment that we are in. We're starting to pack things we don't need right now. One of the main things to pack is the school stuff. This will go in the school room in the house. The house has an extra kitchen upstairs. We will be using that as the school room. I am totally excited about this too! Also there is an extra living room upstairs too. This will be used as the exercise, music room. The school room is also going to be a rec room that we can have our extra tv, vcr, psII, and the wii in so that if the kids want to do something and Dad is playing on the 360 downstairs then they can come upstairs and play there. This is so exciting. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, living room, and laundry room downstairs. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen as well. Our bedroom and Hunter's bedroom will be downstairs. The girls will be upstairs. They are trying to convince me into tearing down the wall between their rooms so they can share. I don't really think that's going to happen. Mostly because when they get older, they are going to want their privacy. The cool part about having a bathroom upstairs and downstairs is that the girls will basically have their own bathroom. I really enjoy that. The house has an attached two car heated garage also. We have a half an acre of land. Not a lot but not too little either. There is a ramp on the house which can be a good thing, especially if my grandparents want to come visit or we have a party and my brother comes. I had thought that we would tear that out and build a deck for the front so we could grill and stuff but I'm not sure about that. I guess that will be something that we could do later if we wanted.

We are getting really excited about this all. Hopefully we can get the house inspected this weekend so we can pay for the house and close within two more weeks.

Friday marked a milestone in our family as well. My niece turned 1 year old. I am so happy that this baby is perfect in every way. She is a very smart little girl. She loves to look at books. She's learning to walk. She loves to blow kisses. She loves my Grace too. The accident that almost took her life when she was a tiny baby is just a horrible memory. She has no affects from when it happened. I am so thankful that my sweet niece is a beautiful and smart girl. I'm just sad that I wasn't there to celebrate. We needed to put the deposit on the house that day and had a few more things to look at in the house before we did that. Hopefully she can come visit soon. I can't wait to see her again and to give her, her present.

Have a great day. I'm sure going to try!

WOW. You don't need a loan? We needed a loan! We just didn't happen to have $120,000 lying around in our pockets...

The house was $62,000. We had the insurance policy from when my father in law died last year. That's why we can afford it.
